Nate Melek, a Minneapolis native, brings a wealth of pitching experience to the Pitch 2 Pitch coaching staff. A right-handed pitcher, Nate played collegiate baseball at the University of New Mexico, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the game. In 2006, he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 43rd round of the MLB Draft, marking the beginning of his professional career.
During his time in Minor League Baseball, Nate demonstrated his pitching prowess with a 6-3 record and a 3.36 ERA over 43 appearances, striking out 65 batters in 83 innings.
